United Tribes placed 8 players in double figures and all 14 players scored in a home win over Turtle Mountain Community College. Tribes raced out to an 85-48 lead in the first half and went on to win by a final score of 164-92. The balanced attack in which nobody played more than 18 minutes was led by Rob McClains 26 points on 13-14 shooting from the field. Xavier Norris nailed 5 three pointers on his way to 21 points. Also reaching double figures for the Thunderbirds were Solomon Garter (15), Bearpaw Mosley (14), Shayden Keplin (13), Montel Carlow (13), Jacob Martin (11), and Ernest Grant (11). Sam Pendletonhad a team high 13 assists and Robbie Beaulieu led the team with 11 rebounds.
The Thunderbirds hit the road on Friday to play in the Gillette College M and M Oilfield Classic. On Friday they play Miles Community College and on Saturday they play nationally ranked Gillette College. The Thunderbirds improve to 8-1 on the year.
