PBR’s Cherokee Kid Dirteater wins Ak-Chin Invitational for first Built Ford Tough Series victory since 2011

PHOENIX – PBR’s (Professional Bull Riders) Ryan Dirteater earned his first Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS) victory since 2011, winning the Ak-Chin Invitational at Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix on Sunday.

Dirteater placed second in the Built Ford Tough Championship Round, posting 87.25 points on Cooper Tires Brown Sugar (Dakota Rodeo/Chad Berger/Clay Struve/Julie Rosen). He was perfect for the weekend in going 3-for-3. Here is his winning ride: http://filesend.pbr.com/?fs=3300-d103e44189b6

The Cherokee Kid collected a total of 517.5 points toward the PBR world standings for his event performance to launch from 29th to 12th in the world standings.  He earned 60 world standings points in the championship round, an additional 55 world standings points in tying for second place in Round 2, 2.5 world standings points for tying for seventh in Round 1, and 400 world standings points for placing first in the overall aggregate.
