Goalkeeper Jaisa Loch (EBCI) posted her second shutout on the weekend and fifth on the year

RALEIGH, N.C. — The Meredith College soccer Angels wrapped up a weekend doubleheader with a 5-0 victory over the visiting LaGrange Panthers. Next up, the Angels will host Johnson-Wales Tuesday night at 6 p.m. on their home turf, a change from the original schedule.

Samantha Litt opened the scoring in the 38th minute with a free kick 10-yards from the goal to give Meredith a lead heading into the break.

Neither team managed to find the net again until the Avenging Angels finished off the Panthers with four goals in the final 19 minutes of regulation. Rookie Katie Quinn netted her first two collegiate goals. The first came as she dribbled 50 yards down the center lane straight to the box. Summer Clifford assisted on Quinn’s second at 81:33.

Jessica Wallace scored her third season goal with help from Olivia DeBellis, and Kayla Boudreau found Hannah Elvington in the lane for Meredith’s final point on the day.

Keeper Jaisa Loch (Eastern Band Cherokee) posted her second shutout on the weekend and fifth on the year with help from her defensive line. Panther Saige MacLeay recorded 10 stops for the Panthers.
