by The Detroit Pistons have waived training camp invitee Derek Willis (Arapaho).
Derek signed with Detroit in the offseason and by doing so, his G-League rights went to the Pistons affiliate Grand Rapids Drive. He is expected to play in the G-League instead of pursuing overseas deals.
Willis appeared in just one preseason game with Detroit, nailing the only three-point shot he attempted.
