Shawvan Levi (Navajo) Paces Fort Lewis Skyhawks at Lewis Conference Crossover in Romeoville, Ill.

ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – October 7, 2017 – Competing against the top teams in NCAA Division II, the Fort Lewis College men’s and women’s teams placed 16th and 20th overall at the Lewis Conference Crossover in Romeoville, Ill. on Saturday morning.

The Skyhawks men’s team earned 415 points to finish 16th out of 31 teams.

Shawvan Levi (Navajo) led FLC with a 28th place finish, crossing the 8K finish line in 25:38.3.  Hosava Kretzmann was second for FLC with a 53rd place finish and a time of 25:53.4.  Bismarck Kipkilach (65th place, 26:04.0), Sylas Schutt (139th place, 26:57.2) and Steven Nez (185th place, 27:22.0), Navajo, rounded out the Skyhawks top five scorers.

Grand Valley State University won the men’s race with 55 points.  Gatien Airiau of Acadmey of Art led all runners with a time of 24:42.7.
