by Zagreb, Croatia — Kamaka Hepa posted 7 points, 10 rebounds and 2 blocks in 28 minutes and 19 seconds on the court (+15 on the night) as KK Cibona beat KK Krka Novo Mesto 99-84 in the ABA League on Friday, Oct. 23.
Hepa’s rebounding led Cibona on the night — his 10 boards were the high for the home side, and he added the team’s only 2 blocks.
The win was Cibona’s first in ABA League play this season, and it came under unusual circumstances: the club is currently led by interim coaches after parting ways with head coach Rudež.
Cibona controlled the tempo at home and pulled away behind its frontcourt, with Hepa anchoring the glass alongside his frontcourt mates.
Hepa continues to produce in his second season with the Croatian champions, splitting time between the ABA League, the domestic championship and the Basketball Champions League.
