by Tariq Brownotter (Standing Rock Sioux) from United Tribes has been named the Mon-Dak Athletic Conference women’s basketball player of the Week.
Brownotter, a 5-4 freshman guard from McLaughlin, S.D., piled up 40 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and five steals in two victories for the Thunderbirds. Brownotter sank 60 percent of her shots in the two games.
United Tribes (6-3) plays at Turtle Mountain Community College on Tuesday in Belcourt.
