KINGSTON, Okla. – Southeastern made a furious rally at Chickasaw Point Golf Resort on Tuesday, firing a tournament-best 283 in the third round to jump from fifth to second place with a score of 881, finishing just three shots behind winner Rogers State who entered the day 16 shots ahead of the Savage Storm. Southeastern had two teams representing the Storm with the second team being led by Indian Country’s own Coleman Caldwell (Rosebud Sioux/Choctaw) who shot a 76 on Tuesday to finish with a total of 226 and finished 26th overall.

SE played the final day of the tournament as if the struggles from day one did not exist, carding three under-par rounds with its highest counting score being a 74 to finish the round five-under par as a team on the challenging 7,000-yard, par 72 course which saw players post an average score of nearly 77 over three rounds.

Southeastern will be back on the course Oct. 6-7 when it makes its longest trip of the regular season to play in the Guy Harvey Invitational hosted by Nova Southeastern at the PGA National Champions Course in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
