RayQuan Evans scored a career-high 32 points to lead three Cardinals in double figures pushing North Idaho College to a 109-106 victory over Chemeketa CC in the Holliday Inn Express NWAC Crossover Tournament Sunday night at Rolly Williams Court.

The freshman was deadly at the free throw line hitting 18 of 20 attempts to go along with 10 rebounds. Sophomore Tyler Brimhall also recorded a double-double scoring 24 points on 6 of 9 shooting from beyond the arc while grabbing 12 rebounds. Ian McLaughlin continued to provide a spark off the bench with 13 points and 7 rebounds. In all, the Cards outrebounded the Storm 59-43.

“That was one outstanding basketball game”, said head Coach Corey Symons. “Both teams went after each other for 50 minutes; we hit some key free throws down the stretch to pull out the win.”
