Cheyenne Burnam (Mohawk Nation) Leads OCC with 7 Points in 23-3 Win Over Nassau Community College

Syracuse N.Y. – The third-ranked Onondaga Community College women’s lacrosse team cruised out to a 18-0 lead at halftime against Nassau Community College on Wednesday evening at David W. Murphy field. The Lazers went on to win with a final of 23-3.

In the first half, 11 different Lazers found the back of the net. Sophomore attacker Cheyenne Burnam (Mohawk Nation) lead the way offensively in the first half for the Lazers recording seven points on four goals and three assists. Sophomore attackerJordan Osborne added five points of her own with three goals and two assists. Freshman midfielder Madison Pritchard scored twice and added a helper while sophomore midfielder Kristyn Drake registered a goal with two assists. Sophomore attacker Jaycie Annable recorded two goals. Sophomore’s Alison Hernandez, Aleasha Fredenburg, and Kathleen Cordone and freshmen Victoria Thompson and Nina Schaefer each added a goal to close out the first half scoring.

In the second half, Onondaga outscored Nassau 5-3. Freshman attacker Mckenzie Hayes had three goals and freshman midfielder Nalissha Caviness had a goal of her own. Schaefer found the back of the net again and freshman midfielder Erin Dingman recorded an assist.

Freshman goalie Mia Pascuzzi and sophomore Kristen Sedar guarded the net for the Lazers.
