Ashton Locklear (Lumbee Tribe) named to the 12-gymnast USA squad that will compete at the City of Jesolo (Italy) Trophy, April 1-2

HUNTSVILLE, Texas, March 25, 2017 – Led by 2016 Olympic team alternate Ashton Locklear (Lumbee Tribe) of Hamlet, N.C./Everest Gymnastics, and all-around World Cup bronze medalist Morgan Hurd of Middletown, Del./First State, USA Gymnastics named the 12-gymnast squad that will compete at the City of Jesolo (Italy) Trophy, April 1-2.

2016 Olympic team alternate Ragan Smith of Lewisville, Texas/Texas Dreams Gymnastics, who recently won the AT&T American Cup title, participated in the Jesolo selection camp but did not verify full routines for selection. She continues to work on upgrading her routines and preparing for this summer’s U.S. Classic and P&G Gymnastics Championships.

Nguyen, Paulson and Shchennikova have been added to the senior national team while Kenlin and Dunne were added to the junior team.
