Alyssa Pretty Weasel (Crow) Led MSU-Northern with Eight Kills in Loss to Providence

The MSU-Northern Skylights volleyball team lost in a Frontier Conference matchup against University of Providence on Wednesday in Havre, Montana. The MSU-Northern Skylights lost in three sets (20-25, 17-25, and 19-25). The Skylights battled in the first set, as Burns had two attack errors and Pretty Weasel killed it to take the lead by two (20-18). Providence went on a 7-0 run to take the first set 25-20.

Providence took the lead early in the second set. They had a couple smaller runs to take the set 25-17. Northern started off strong taking the lead 8-4. The Argo’s went on a 6-1 run to take back the lead 16-11. Providence had a couple smaller runs to take the match.

Stars of the Match:
The Skylights were led by Alyssa Pretty weasel (Crow), who tallied eight kills with a hitting percentage of .250. Macee Murphy added seven kills. Emily Feller led the team in assists with 28, as well as digs with eight.  

The Argo’s were led by Bailey Christensen, who had 13 kills hitting a percentage of .357. Ryann Eddins added 11 kills on the night. Bella Thompson led the team with 38 assists in the match. Adysen Burns led the team in digs with 10.

Stats of the Match:
MSU-Northern had a hitting percentage of .226 on the day, while Providence hit .314. The Skylights had 32 assists, as the Argo’s had 44. Northern also had 14 digs to Providence 46.

The Skylights are 11-9 overall and 3-4 in conference.
