Ku Stevens (Paiute) finishes 11th as Washington State men take third at Pac-12 Championships

BOISE, Idaho — Ku Stevens placed 11th in 23:51.6 in the men’s 8K at the Pac-12 Cross Country Championships on Friday at Warm Springs Golf Course.

Teammate Solomon Kipchoge won the individual title in 22:46.8, and the Cougars’ scoring five finished 1-2-11-18-27.

Washington State placed third in the team standings with 59 points, behind Gonzaga, which won the title with 39, and Utah State, second with 56.

Stevens’s 11th-place finish was one spot outside the top 10, but it kept him in WSU’s scoring five on a day the Cougars’ front two went 1-2.

WSU now moves on to the NCAA regional round in November, the next step toward the NCAA Championships on Nov. 21 in Terre Haute, Ind.
