VERMILLION, S.D. — Quarterback Austyn Modrzewski threw for 159 yards and 2 touchdowns Saturday, including the game-winner in overtime, as South Dakota beat North Dakota 26-23.
Modrzewski completed 15 of 22 passes and found Brayden White on a 14-yard touchdown on the second play of overtime after the teams finished regulation tied 20-20.
The Coyotes struck first in the extra period and then held on, as North Dakota’s bid to answer fell short.
