Wayne Runnels (Cheyenne/Arapaho) had 14 points and 12 rebounds Sunday’s 123-92 win over the Little Rock Lightning

The Enid Outlaws raised their record to 12-2 with Sunday’s 123-92 win over the Little Rock Lightning.  The game started off slowly for the Outlaws as they led 30-25 after the first quarter of play.  Enid increased the lead to thirteen at the half.  They continued to build on the lead leading 92-72 at the end of the 3rd Quarter of play. 

The Outlaws finished the game with five players in double figures.  Chance Comanche (Choctaw/Comanche) finished with another double-double.  He led all scorers with 31 points and grabbed 13 rebounds.  Charlie Marquardt finished with 21 points and hitting five threes.  Tavares Sledge had 20 points and grabbed 7 boards.  Devin Harris finished a double-double with 17 points and 12 assists.  Wayne Runnels (Cheyenne/Arapaho) had 14 points and 12 rebounds. 

The Lightning were led by Deonta Terrell who finished with 23 points and 8 rebounds.  Percell Washington (20) and Daniel Watson (11) were the only other Lightning players in double figures. 

Outlaws Assistant Coach, Tom Hughes, coached his last game for Enid today.  After the game Hughes had this to say, “I want to thank Ed Corporal.  He and I have known each other and coached with each other for a number of years.  Working with him we set a few TBL records.  And, I want to thank our guys for their hard work and determination.  I wish them well for the remainder of the season and in their careers. 

Hughes went on to say, “I have been coaching since 1975, and this has been the most difficult season I have been through.  And, it wasn’t basketball.  It was the little things we wanted, and needed, and didn’t get.  I hope things get better for Ed and the players because we have a really nice team.
