UPDATE: Angel Goodrich (Cherokee Nation) Looking to Take the Court Soon with the Seattle Storm

NDNSPORTS NOTES:

(Seattle) – Angel Goodrich (Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma) signed with the Seattle Storm back on June 6th after being released by the Tulsa Shock just prior to the last full day of roster cuts required in the WNBA. The 5-foot-4 guard has played her entire two year career in the WNBA with the Shock where she averaged 4.4 points and 2.9 assists for the Shock as a rookie in 2013 and 1 point and 0.8 assists last season. Both seasons had been with two different coaching staffs and head coaches.

Now with the Seattle storm, Angel is looking to get back on the court and become a contributing player off of the bench. The Seattle times reported that ” (Seattle) opted to not dress the  (New) players for the opening five games because of the travel schedule and lack of practice.”

Head Seattle Strom Coach Jenny Boucek had Angel in a five-on-five teaching drill against the male practice players. Goodrich looked confident running the ball according to the reports.

Seattle will next travel to Minnesota to take on the Lynx on June 25th followed by a trip to San Antonio against the Stars on June 27th and they will then wrap up there three game road by visiting Angel’s old team the Tulsa Shock on June 28th.
