Tristan Keah-Tigh (Kiowa) Leads Haskell Indian Nations University to Pair of Key Wins at College of Ozarks Classic

POINT LOOKOUT, MO – The Haskell Indian Nations University men’s basketball team picked up two more conference wins this weekend at the College of the Ozarks Classic with Tristan Keah-Tigh (Kiowa) leading the Indians in both games.

On Friday, Haskell won 110-99 over Ecclesia College with Keah-Tigh dropping a career-high 30 points. Haskell would also get big games out of Bryon Elledge (Cheyenne/Arapaho) who finished with 22 points and Nakia Hendricks (Mashpee) who scored 18 points and pulled down 9 rebounds. Xavier Littlehead (N. Cheyenne/Navajo) would round out the double-digit scoring with 10 points.

On Saturday afternoon, Crowley’s Ridge College jumped on Haskell early, but the Indians put together a strong second half for a 99-89 win in their second game of the Classic.

Haskell fell behind early but with 14 minutes to go in the 2nd half they would make their run behind big plays from Tristan Keah-Tigh and Nakia Hendricks. Keah-Tigh would reel off seven points in the pivotal stretch.

Keah-Tigh would lead the way with 26 points, seven assists, and seven rebounds including 9-for-10 from the free throw line. Hendricks would add 20 points, four rebounds, and three steals. Macauley Brown scored 14 and Xavier Littlehead added 13 points.
