Tiara Gilham (Blackfeet) Leads MSU-Northern with 19 Points in loss to No. 6 Carroll College

The MSU-Northern Skylights lost to No. 6 Carroll College 65-59 on Tuesday in Havre, Montana. The score went back and forth in the first half with Carroll taking the lead 35-34. The Saints came out of half time with a 12-2 run. The Skylights got within six points in the fourth quarter, but couldn’t finish.

Individual Stats:
The Skylights were led by Tiara Gilham (Blackfeet Nation), who had 19 points and five rebounds. McKenzie Gunter added 18 points going 6-12 from the field. L’Tia Lawrence added eight points.

The Saints were led by Jamie Pickens with 19 points and six rebounds. Maddie Geritz had 14 points and five rebounds. Danielle Wagner added 13 points, as Christine Denny had 10 points. Sienna Swannack led the team in rebounds with 12.

Stats of the Game:
The MSU-Northern Skylights shot a field goal percentage of 38, 33 percent from the arc, and 79 percent from the free throw line.

Carroll College shot 46 percentage from the field, 20 percent from the 3-point line, and 68 percent from the free throw.

The Skylights are 1-5 in the overall season and 0-2 in the Frontier Conference.
