by NORFOLK, Va. – Junior Tamia Dockery earned Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) weekly honors after a strong outing at the Jefferson Cup. Dockery claimed MEAC Setter of the Week.
Dockery joined Porter on the Jefferson Cup All-Tournament Team after recording a pair of double-doubles in three matches. She racked up a weekend-high 53 assists, along with 18 digs, five blocks, three aces and four kills against VCU. Dockery’s first double-double came against Ohio where she had 39 assists and 11 digs. In Howard’s four-set win over Virginia, Dockery had 44 assists, three blocks, four kills and six digs.
This weekend (Sept.15-16), HU returns to the Nation’s Capital where they will host Iowa, Princeton, and American in the D.C. Classic.
