Lamar finished with five players in double figures. In addition to Long and Riley, Dominique Edwards had 16 points, Collins had 13 points and JaMeisha Edwards finished with 12 points.

With her three 3-pointers, JaMeisha Edwards moved into ninth place on Lamar’s all-time list with 93.

It was the third straight double-double for Dominique Edwards, who had 10 rebounds.

“We’ve got our swagger back,” Harmony said. “I think one of the reasons we’re a better team than last season is because we have depth. Everybody is contributing.”

Janelle Perez led Northwestern State with 21 points.

Lamar returns to action when it hosts Stephen F. Austin at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Montagne Center.

“It’s going to be a fun ride home,” Harmony said. “We’re going to enjoy this win tonight. We’re going to have a needed day off on Sunday after playing three games in five days, but we’ll be right back to work on Monday.”
