Oklahoma State women’s basketball adds former Sequoyah Indians standout Lexy Keys (Cherokee) to the Roster

STILLWATER, Okla. — Oklahoma State’s women’s basketball team added another in-state product with Lexy Keys (Cherokee) joining the roster it was announced today.

A native of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Keys averaged 16.4 points, 4.8 assists, 4.2 steals and 3.6 rebounds per contest as a senior for Sequoyah High School on her way to earning all-state honors from the Oklahoma Girls Basketball Coaches Association and the Oklahoma Coaches Association.

The 5-7 guard finished her career with 1,806 points, 433 rebounds, 464 assists and 412 steals while helping her team to a pair of state titles.

Tabbed as the Muskogee Phoenix Area MVP on four occasions, Keys averaged 19.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 3.0 steals per outing as a junior.

Additionally, she was a standout as a member of the school’s softball squad, which captured the 2018 Class 3A state title.
