Oklahoma Libero Callie Kemohah (Osage Nation) Named to Big 12 Conference All-Rookie Team

NORMAN – Four members of the Oklahoma volleyball team have been named to the 2021 All-Big 12 teams, the conference announced Tuesday.

Senior Paige Anderson and freshmen Peyton DunnCallie Kemohah (Osage Nation) and Megan Wilson were all recognized by the conference. Anderson was named to the second team for the third time in her career. Dunn, Kemohah and Wilson were all named to the All-Rookie team. The three All-Rookie team honors are the most in one season in program history.

Anderson wrapped up her Sooner career with a strong senior season. The senior from McKinney, Texas, ranked third in the conference with 1.22 blocks/set and led the league with 129 total blocks. Her 20 solo blocks ranked third in the league. Anderson tallied 215 kills, 52 digs and eight service aces in 2021.

Dunn had a breakout freshman season and finished the year with 997 assists, 198 digs, 67 kills and 63 blocks. The Parker, Colo., native ranked eighth in the league in assists per set (9.32) and fourth in total digs. Dunn recorded nine double-doubles and tallied career-highs of 54 assists and 12 digs. Dunn was a four-time Big 12 Rookie of the Week in 2021.

The starting libero for the Sooners, Kemohah finished her freshman season with 436 digs, including a career-high 35 against Texas Tech. Kemohah ranked third in the league with 4.11 digs/set and second in total digs. The Lucas, Texas, native recorded 86 assists and 23 service aces. Kemohah was a two-time Defensive Player of the Week in 2021.

Wilson led the Sooners on the year with 392 kills to rank third in the Big 12. Her 3.70 kills/set also ranked third in the league. The Kingwood, Texas, native recorded double-digit kills in all but three matches in 2021 and earned a career-high 22 on two occasions. Wilson also notched 47 blocks, 16 service aces and 54 digs. Wilson earned three Rookie of the Week honors in 2021 along with one Offensive Player of the Week Award. She also became the first player in program history to earn two weekly honors in the same week.

Under head coach Lindsey Gray-Walton, the Sooners have now garnered 15 total All-Big 12 awards in the last four seasons.
