NMSU Aggies Visit Kansas City To Open Up WAC Play; Abby Scott (Warm Springs Tribe) and Bradley Nash (Navajo) Back on the court together

(Kansas City, Missouri) – The New Mexico State University Lady Aggies will travel to Kansas City to take on the University of Missouri-Kansas City on Saturday, January 10th to open up Western Athletic Conference (WAC) play at 2:00 PM CST.

Abby Scott (Warm Springs Tribe) is only one 3-pointer away from cracking the top 10 all-time 3-point list for the Aggies. She is currently averaging 7.9 points per game and 23 minutes on the court. Bradley Nash (Navajo), who also plays volleyball for the Aggies, is just now returning to the roster after a short break between sports. Nash, who played in 15 games last season for New Mexico State, averaged 3.3 points per game last season averaged 4.6 rebounds per game which was the fifth best on the team.

The New Mexico State women’s basketball team moved over .500 for the first time this season after defeating Northern New Mexico College, 81-39, Abby Scott had 12 points in that contest and was 4-7 from beyond the arc. The Aggies finished shooting 47.5 percent from the field and 45.8 from 3-point range.  The defense forced 25 turnovers and only allowed a 25.4 shooting percentage from NNMC.  The home team also controlled the inside, finishing with a 28-6 advantage in the paint.
