Luke Martinez (Chippewa) Scores 17 Points for Mexico who fall to the United States, 78-94

MEXICALI, BC, Monday, November 30, 2020.- The captain of Soles de Mexicali, Lucas Martínez (Chippewa) had an outstanding performance in the game in which Mexico fell to the United States 78-94, within the tie for the AmeriCup 2022.

In the “window” of the tie held in Indianapolis, Indiana, the Mexican team led by Paco Olmos returns with a win and a loss, to stay in second place in Group D with a 2-2 record.

In the duel against the Americans, Luke was on the court for just over 35 minutes, in which he accumulated 17 points with 40 percent from field goals, including three triples in ten attempts.

In addition, he captured four rebounds, had an assist and two steals, numbers that make him one of the most productive players of the Mexican team in North American territory.

For his part, Jose David Estrada had a participation of 13:34 minutes in which he added two points and two assists.

Mexico will continue the tie within group D next February when they face Puerto Rico and the United States again.
