Les Miles Hints at Debut for Freshman LB Gavin Potter (Mvskoke Creek) on Friday at Boston College

LAWRENCE- Kansas Head Coach Les Miles hinted at his weekly press conference on Monday, that the debut of Freshman Linebacker Gavin Potter (Mvskoke Creek) could be this Friday when the Jayhawks take on Boston College.

Miles stated, “I think both of them (Steven Parker) are going to play a ton of football. I think there’s a point in time where you get comfortable or maybe that a veteran wants a blow.” He added, “But I think they could see playing time certainly Friday.”

Potter did not get playing time on defense in the Jayhawks’ first two games of the season, including a loss to Coastal Carolina last Saturday.

According to 24/7 Sports, Potter was a three-star prospect and signed with the Jayhawks in February, coming out of Broken Arrow High School in Oklahoma.

Potter helped lead Broken Arrow to win the Oklahoma 6A-1 Football State Championship, which was the first football title in the school’s history.

Kansas will face Boston College this week in Chestnut Hill, MA at 6:30pm CT. The game will be broadcast on the ACC Network.
