Lamar’s Shauna Long (Standing Rock Sioux) Drops 18 Points on Oklahoma Sooners; Moves to 4th on All-Time 3-Point List at Lamar

NORMAN, Okla. – Dominique Edwards had her second double-double in as many nights, but the Lamar Lady Cardinals dropped a 100-73 decision to Oklahoma in a non-conference women’s basketball game Tuesday.

Edwards had 24 points and 13 rebounds for Lamar (0-3), as she collected her 13th career double-double, but it wasn’t enough against the Sooners (2-0), who pulled away in the second half.

“Dominique is stepping up,” Lamar coach Robin Harmony said. “She is playing like an all-conference player, and she is being a leader.”

Lamar held an eight-point lead at one point in the first half, and trailed just 50-43 at intermission, but the Sooners opened the second half on a 25-2 run to take control of the game.
