The KCAC has announced the 2015 All-KCAC Football Preseason Team. The team, chosen by KCAC Head Football Coaches, is made up of 19 seniors, 10 juniors, and four sophomores. Of the 33 athletes listed, 14 are from Kansas, six are from Texas, and five are from California.
Kenny Nez (Walker River Paiute) was named a member of the defense. Last season Nez was selected to the the Second Team All-American by the AFCA-NAIA and he led the KCAC with 7 interceptions, to go along with 83 total tackles (51 solo).
Head Coach Jay Osborne talked about the recognition saying, “Kenny (Nez) is everything we want in a Spire. Not only is he receiving acolades for his excellence on the field, but he also has done a tremendous job in the classroom. I anticipate he will be recognized for some major academic and athletic awards in the future. Antonio is a very talented player as well, and we feel fortunate to have him here at USM.”
