by RICHARDSON, Texas – For the second time this season Kelsey Watson (Comanche Tribe) has been selected as Lone Star Conference Pitcher of the Week announced by league officials on Tuesday.
Watson won all three starts in the circle for the Aggies last week and has earned a win in her last nine appearances. On Tuesday, at Oklahoma Christian she tossed her fourth shutout in row and went 34 2/3 innings straight without run appearing on the scoreboard before batter crossed home plate in the fifth inning at Eastern New Mexico on Saturday.
In 21 innings last week Watson had a 1.33 ERA with 22 strikeouts.
This is the second weekly award for Watson this season from the LSC and her third weekly honor.
