LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) – Mariya Moore had 11 points and 10 assists, Myisha Hines-Allen scored 18 and No. 12 Louisville beat Lafayette 102-61 on Friday night.

The Cardinals (6-0) out-rebounded Lafayette 20-4 on the offensive glass, forced 22 turnovers and edged the Leopards in shot attempts (75-49) as a result.

Hines-Allen made the most of the extra chances with 9-of-13 shooting. Louisville was 39 of 75 overall and 5 of 10 from 3-point range.

Lafayette (3-2) led 20-18 on Jamie O’Hare’s 3-pointer midway through the first half, but the Cardinals took the lead for good with a 28-2 run.

O’Hare was 4 of 8 from 3-point range with 20 points to lead the Leopards. Emily Homan chipped in 12 points and seven rebounds.

Jude Schimmel was 4 of 5 from 3-point range with 15 points for Louisville. Emmonnie Henderson scored 13, Sara Hammond and Megan Deines had 11 apiece, and Bria Smith 10.

Head coach Jeff Walz said on Jude’s performance, “I was happy for Jude. She’s been working very hard. Do I expect her to go 4 for 5 from the 3 every night? No. For us right now, if we could get 2 for 5 from our shooters, I’d be thrilled. Anything in that area – 2 for 6 – I’d be thrilled. What we have to do is try to find two or three of our guards who can make one or two 3-pointers a game – so we aren’t relying on six from Mariya Moore one night or four from Jude one night. If we can get two from Mariya, two from Jude, two from Sara (Hammond) because Sara’s a very good 3-point shooter – then it just opens things up because people respect your inside-outside game.
