by Head Coach Danny Mertens is pleased to announce the signing of Jasmine Lohnes (Spirit Lake Nation) from Four Winds-Minnewauken High School.
Jasmine Lohnes, a 5’7 small forward, brings a versatile game to Lake Region State College. She is an outstanding student, that was All-District 7 last year and was chosen as co-captain of her team this year.
When asked what she is most excited about Jasmine said, “I am most excited about playing basketball for Lake Region State. It is a great place to start out for me, it is close to home and gives me the opportunity to go into the LRSC nursing program.”
Head Coach Danny Mertens said about Jasmine, “We are very excited to keep Jasmine close to home and have her become a Lady Royal. She has been a big part of the turnaround that program has enjoyed over the past few seasons. She is a tough, talented basketball player that can do a variety of things on the court to help our team. We wish Jasmine all the best as she finishes out her senior season and look forward to getting her in the blue and black next year!”
