Isaiah Thompson (San Pasqual Tribe) Finishes 2nd in 800m at UCI Spring Break Invitational

IRVINE, Calif. — Sophomore Lloyd Sicard was a double-winner for UC Irvine in the Spring Break Invitational at Anteater Stadium Saturday.

Sicard won the 110-meter hurdles in 13.95 seconds, which is the No. 1 time in the nation this season and improved on his No. 3 time in UCI history.

Sicard also earned first place in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 52.56 as teammates Cameron Vaca (53.14) and Brandon Howard (53.40) were second and third, respectively.

Isaiah Thompson (San Pasqual Band of Mission Indianss) finished second in the 800 meters in 1:50.92 and Kyle Hubbard was third in the 110-meter hurdles in 14.66.

In field events, Mason Miller won the shot put with a mark of 57-9 and Matt Dispenza was first in the high jump at 6-6.

The Anteaters finished third in the team competition with 122 ½ points.  Army placed first with 204 and Northern Arizona was second with 153.

UCI returns to action at the UCR Spring Classic in Riverside Thursday through Saturday.
