McPherson, KS   -Crisp passing, great floor vision, as well full court pressure gave the Lady Tiger’s fits as Haskell would win by a wide margin Saturday afternoon on the plains of Western Kansas

The game would start once again with Haskell getting off to a quick 10-0 before Central Christian would slowly creep back into the game to make it a back and forth affair, swapping leads briefly before Haskell’s pressure would start to change the course of the game.

In a game where the Lady Indians would have a rough shooting night from the perimeter (4-21, 19%) it was the incredible vision of the Haskell team which would make crisp passes throughout the game finding open shooters for quick baskets inside the paint which proved to be a difference (68 points in the paint).

Brandi Buffalo (FR/Rocky Boy, MT) (15 pts, 7 rebounds), Keli Warrior (SO/White Eagle, OK) (14 Pts, 6 rebounds),Arnetia Begay (JR/Shiprock, NM) (12 pts, 5 rebounds, 4 assists) as well Jenine Coriz (SR/Santa Fe, NM) (7 pts, 4 rebounds, 7 assists, 6 steals) led Haskell, but it was the whole team effort which was seen throughout as Haskell’s bench would score 39 points to the Lady Tiger’s 22. Haskell’s defensive pressure forced 26 turnovers leading to 30 points off the turnovers.

McPherson, KS— Central Christian College held the Haskell team to a rough shooting night from the floor as well the perimeter as the Tigers would use a strong defensive effort to grab a home victory.

It was a game where Haskell would make rallies but it would be the Tigers who would hit shots to counter each run Haskell would make.

Tsalidi Sequoyah (SO/Cherokee, NC) (18 pts, 5 rebounds) would have another strong game in the paint, but the off night from the perimeter proved to be costly as the Tigers would shoot a scorching 42% from the perimeter, and from the floor overall (54%) which proved too much for the Fighting Indians as the closest they would get would be 2 points following a Marcus Middleton (SO/Del City, OK) shot with 12:23 to go in the game. That would be as close as Haskell would get as the Tigers were able to keep the Fighting Indians from grabbing any rhythm in the second half.

With Tsalidi Sequoyah leading the way, three other Haskell players would score in double digits; Duelle Gore(JR/Brighton, FL), (12 pts, 9 rebounds), Stand Lovato (SR/Sapulpa, OK) (12 pts), Randy July (SR/Tulsa, OK) (10 pts, 3 assists). Haskell played very well on the road, going 2-1.
