by USC Beaufort sophomore Jacob Mitchell and Haskell Indian Nations University (KS) sophomore Tiajhae Nez (Navajo) have raced to Continental Athletic Conference Cross Country Runners of the Week honors.
Mitchell, the Men’s Runner of the Week, placed 24th out of 118 runners at the Converse Kick-Off last Saturday. The Rincon, Georgia, native covered the 8-kilometer course with a time of 26:41.9.
Nez, the Female Runner of the Week, recorded a 31st place finish among 125 runners at last Friday’s Larry Young Invite. The Kirtland, New Mexico, native posted a time of 20:14.57 over the 5-kilometer course.
