George Hill’s (Suquamish Tribe) 17 points not enough as Indians Fall to Doane College in Season Opener, 75-78

(Crete, NE) – The Haskell Indian Nations University Indians men’s basketball opened up their 2016-2017 season on the road with a 75-78 loss to the Doane College Tigers Monday evening. The Indians were in a tight contest the whole evening and had a few chances to tie or close out the game at the end but fell just short.

The Indians were led by  George Hill (Kingston, WA), who is a junior transfer from Washington State University, who had a 17 point peformance . Hill was 4 of 6 from behind the arc and 5 of 9 from the field.

Not to far behind him was senior Tsalidi Sequoyah (Cherokee, NC) who added 14 points. Other key contributors inlcluded Zach Bruns (Havelock, NC) who had 13 points and Brian Elledge who made 11 points.

The Indians will next travel to Lindenwood University-Belleville in Illinois on November 1st.
