by COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – After leading the Bulldogs to a three-game sweep of RV/RV Boise State to close the regular season, Hailey Dolcini and Hayleigh Galvan (Cherokee Nation) were named MW Pitcher and Player of the Week, respectively, announced by the conference on Tuesday.
Galvan earned her second MW Player of the Week honor after also receiving it on April 9 for her performance in the Bulldog series win at UNLV. In the Boise State series the junior DP hit 5-for-9 (.556) with two home runs, five RBIs, and three runs scored in leading the ‘Dogs to a sweep. She posted a 1.222 slugging percentage and .600 on base percentage, reaching base in six of 10 plate appearances.
Galvan registered at least one hit and one RBI in all three games and scored runs in two of three games. She went 3-for-3 with a walk, two home runs, three RBIs, and two runs scored on Friday, recording her first career two-homer game. She ended the regular season hitting .336 overall and leading the team with nine home runs and 42 RBIs.
