Chelsey Biegler (Cheyenne River Sioux) Named to the Rockey Mountain Athletic Conference First-Team All-Conference

SPEARFISH, S.D—Black Hills State University women’s basketball player Chelsey Biegler (Cheyenne River Sioux tribe) was honored by the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference on Tuesday afternoon.

Biegler was named First Team All-RMAC after she finished the regular season with 11.8 points per game. She came up with 54 steals and dished out 64 assists. The senior registered a season-high 25 points on Jan. 10 when BHSU defeated Chadron State College 78-69.

She also found herself on the Black Hills State University women’s basketball record book when she broke Katelynn Lamb’s record of 375 career free throws on Jan. 30. Biegler currently sits at 406 career free throws made. She recently moved into eighth place on the all-time career-scoring list with 1,311 career points heading into the RMAC Shootout Tournament. Biegler was also named First Team All-RMAC in 2012-13, and 2013-14.
