by Crownpoint, NM – Antonio Valencia, out of Pinon, Arizona, signed his letter of intent with the Navajo Technical University Cross Country Team, joined by Coach Leonard Lee. Antonio brings successful years of cross country running at Pinon High School, where he has been able to compete at the Arizona cross country championships. Antonio competed in track and field events as the 1500 and 3200 meters.
“I have a passion for running, which made me who I am today. Running is a privilege, and becoming the best is my goal. I am ready to take the next step in my running career at NTU, close to home in the Navajo Nation. I can push myself hard, and the right coach can get me to do anything, including new records and even a national title,” Antonio Valencia concluded.
