Tuttle scored the other way to stop the run for UAlbany, which was 12-0. UAlbany struck back with two point-blank range goals from Drake and Cullen, adding a third in a span of a minute with Russell winning the faceoff, sprinting to the cage, passing to Oakes for the goal. After a Canisius penalty, the ball was passed around from Drake to Cullen for the score. Matthew Bertrams added a long range score, then Fields came from around the cage and scored on a low shot. Each side added a goal before the end of the quarter, with Tim Cox adding UAlbany’s 12th goal of the period, to make it 21-3 going into the final quarter.

Nuckel added another from Ky Tarbell, and following two last two Canisius goals, Rupp added his second for the team’s 26th goal. UAlbany held off Canisius in the final 3:24 to take the 26-6 victory.
