HEAR FROM THE HAWKS COACH:
Head Women’s Basketball Coach Matt Svehla on who stood out in the victory over Marshalltown:
“When teams try and take Aaliyah Jones out of the equation, others have to try and step up and make some plays,” Svehla said. “Aweng Akoi had 17 points and Vilique Fallis hit six threes, all in the second half. We found ways to move the basketball and got decent looks. We played somewhat in spurts for a few minutes at a time, but we’re happy with the victory with just one game left here before break.”
