Tru Billie (Rosebud Sioux) poured in a game-high 28 points for Jamestown CC in 86-82 Win over Penn State Dubois

DUBOIS, PA – The Jamestown Community College (JCC) women’s basketball team opened the season with a thrilling 86-82 overtime victory at Penn State Dubois on Saturday afternoon. 

JCC was led in scoring by freshman Tru Billie, who poured in a game-high 28 points to go along with eight assists and two rebounds. She was joined by three other Jayhawks in double figures: Kendra Altadonna (22), Jani Washington (13), and Lailah McGary (10).

The Jayhawks moved the ball well in the win, leading in assists 24-16 over the Nittany Lions. Billie’s eight were the most on the team, followed by six each from Washington and Altadonna.

Jamestown also performed on the glass; Altadonna had nine rebounds, while Felicity Thiem added seven, and McGary had five.

The ladies won the overtime session 14-10 to capture the four-point win.

The victory puts JCC at 1-0 on the year.
