Native Athletes to watch in the NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Championship Tournament

NDIANAPOLIS — The NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Committee recently announced the 64-team field for the 2013 NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Championship.  Thirty-one conference champions earned automatic bids to the tournament, with the NCAA DI women’s volleyball committee selecting 33 other teams as at-large picks.

The tournament begins with the first round on Thursday, Dec. 4 and continues until the national championship on Sunday, Dec. 21 at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri.

Among these teams selected for the tournament will be three Native American ladies that will participate with their team in hopes of winning the championship that will be played in Kansas City, Missouri. 

Student-athletes Ryla Jones, Renee Jones, and Cy Rae Campbell.

    • 8 p.m. | No. 3 Creighton vs. Northern Colorado
  • Friday, Dec. 5
    • 6:30 p.m. | No. 1 Pittsburgh vs. UMBC
    • 7:30 p.m. | No. 7 South Dakota State vs. Arizona
• Second round: Dec. 5-6
• Regionals: Dec. 11 and 13 or Dec. 12 and 14
• Semifinals: Thursday, Dec. 18
• National championship: 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 21 | ABC
