WAIKOLOA, Hawaii — Lance Christensen Jr. won the individual title at the Yo Maui HPU Sharks Shootout, shooting 67-64-66 for 197 (-13) over three rounds. He finished two strokes clear of Chaminade’s Dale Swartwood (-11).
Christensen opened with a 67 (-3), then fired a 64 (-6) in round two — a round featuring four birdies and an eagle — to jump into second place. He closed with a bogey-free 66 (-4) to take the title.
The win is Christensen’s first tournament victory of the year. The fifth-year senior from Kyle, S.D., was the runner-up in individual stroke play at the 2026 NCAA Division II national championships.
As a team, Colorado Christian finished second at -21, carding -7 in each of the three rounds, one stroke behind Hawaii-Hilo (-22).
The Sharks Shootout closes the Cougars’ fall season.
