Karliey Parker (Comanche) led Coffeyville CC with 19 points in Red Raven Win at Hutchinson CC

The Red Ravens put together a wire-to-wire performance and pulled away late for a convincing 68–39 victory over Hutchinson Community College on Wednesday night.

Coffeyville Community College set the tone early with strong defensive pressure and balanced scoring. The Red Ravens opened the game on an 8–3 run and used crisp ball movement to build momentum in the first quarter. Karli Parker, Aubrey Hishaw and Isabella Pehrson helped Coffeyville control the pace, while Esme Smith’s energy on the glass fueled second-chance opportunities. Coffeyville led 21–14 at the end of the opening period.

In the second quarter, the Red Ravens began to separate. Smith knocked down multiple three-pointers, Londyn Barrett added a timely triple, and Coffeyville’s defense forced turnovers that turned into points in transition. Despite Hutchinson cutting into the lead briefly, Coffeyville closed the half strong and went into the break up 34–21.

The third quarter featured more of the same as Coffeyville continued to apply pressure. Parker attacked the rim and converted at the free-throw line, while Hishaw and Smith anchored the defense. The Red Ravens stretched the margin to 44–32 heading into the final quarter.

Coffeyville dominated the fourth, opening with a decisive run that put the game out of reach. Pehrson finished inside, Smith and Mahogany Butler connected from beyond the arc, and Parker capped the surge with a three-pointer as the Red Ravens pushed the lead past 30. Coffeyville’s depth showed late as the bench maintained the tempo and closed out the win.

The Red Ravens’ balanced scoring, rebounding advantage, and defensive intensity proved too much, as Coffeyville closed the night with a commanding 68–39 victory.
