by Crownpoint, NM – On September 10, 2025, initially from Whiteriver, Arizona, student-athlete Zonte Upton is pursuing a degree in Culinary Arts at Navajo Technical University with a vision of opening his own restaurant in his hometown. With prior experience in business and the fast-food industry, he’s building a strong foundation for his career while competing in basketball and cross-country for NTU.
He encourages his fellow students to push their limits, stay disciplined, and take advantage of every opportunity to grow—whether in academics or athletics.
