by Strong performances in leading their teams to multiple victories have Alice Lloyd College (Kentucky) senior Christa Amburgey, Haskell Indian Nations University (Kansas) junior Jaspen Ellenwood and Carolina University (North Carolina) freshman Kai Horta collecting the Continental Athletic Conference Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week awards.
Ellenwood, the setter honoree, dished out 60 assists and averaged four assists per set across three matches. She tallied 23 assists in directing HINU to a thrilling five-set victory against Crowley’s Ridge College (Arkansas) last Wednesday. The junior also registered 20 assists in another five-set win against Stephens College (Missouri) last Saturday.
