by Crownpoint, NM—On September 3, 2025, Navajo Technical University is proud to welcome Emily Bennett of Church Rock, New Mexico, to the NTU Cross-Country Team under the leadership of Head Coach Leonard Lee.
Emily will represent NTU at collegiate cross-country competitions across the region while pursuing her degree in the Animal Science Program, demonstrating the strong connection between academic success and athletic commitment.
At NTU, student-athletes like Emily are supported in developing discipline, teamwork, time management, and perseverance—skills that enhance their education and prepare them for future careers.
Students who participate in NTU Athletics may also qualify for athletic scholarships, which offer additional opportunities to support their educational goals. The main campus’s Athletics Department at the NTU Wellness Center welcomes current students to learn more about athletic programs by connecting with Coach Leonard Lee or Athletics Director George La France.
