by SAN ANTONIO (July 23, 2025) – The San Antonio Spurs today announced that they have signed guard Lindy Waters III. Per team policy, terms of the contract were not announced.
Waters III, 6-6/210, appeared in 52 games for the Golden State Warriors and Detroit Pistons last season, averaging 4.9 points, 2.1 rebounds, 1.0 assist in 15.0 minutes. A four-year NBA veteran, he has appeared in 156 games with Oklahoma City, Golden State and Detroit, holding career averages of 5.2 points and 1.9 rebounds in 13.2 minutes.
From Norman, Oklahoma, Waters III went undrafted in the 2020 NBA Draft after four seasons at Oklahoma State University. In 121 games (104 starts) with the Cowboys, he averaged 9.5 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.00 steals in 27.9 minutes and became the 11th OSU player to eclipse 1,000 points, 250 assists and 100 steals over his career.
Waters III will wear No. 43 for the Spurs.
