NORMAN – Oklahoma head volleyball coach Aaron Mansfield announced the addition of Emoni Bush for the 2025 season Friday. Bush joins the Sooners after playing three seasons at Washington.
A 2024 All-Big 10 Second Team selection, Bush tallied 724 kills, 155 blocks, 175 digs and 44 service aces in her three years of play for the Huskies. She was named to the AVCA All-Pacific North Region Team in 2024 after leading the Huskies with 296 kills. In the summer of 2024, played for the Canadian National Team at the NORCECA Pan American Final Six in the Dominican Republic, where she was named Best Server.
“Emoni comes in as a seasoned pin hitter with NCAA tournament experience,” Mansfield said. “She has collected accolades such as all conference and all region, but what is more impressive about Emoni is her character, willingness to learn, and how adaptive she has been to change. We look forward to helping her achieve her goals on and off the court.”
Prior to Washington, Bush was named the B.C. Girls Player of the Year for 2020-21. She played for Team Canada at the 2019 FIVB U18 World Championships in Egypt. “The second I stepped on campus, OU felt like home,” Bush said. “The coaches and the team are such incredible people and create an environment that’s exciting to walk into every day.”
A native of Campbell River, British Columbia, she is the daughter of Michael Bush and Nadgelin Cliffe. She has two siblings, Camden and Bentley.
