Duelle Gore (Seminole Tribe) Scores 26 Points for Haskell who Fall to NCAA D2 Fort Lewis College, 64-78

GOLDEN, Colo. – November 27, 2015 – Solid shooting from the floor in the second half and strong defense separated the Fort Lewis College men’s basketball team from Haskell Indian Nations University Friday night from Lockridge Arena in Golden, Colo.  After leading by one point after the first half, 36-35, the Skyhawks outscored HINU in the second half by 13 points, 42-29, to earn the 78-64 victory.

Fort Lewis remains undefeated through the first four games of the season.  Haskell Indian Nations University drops to 2-6 on the year.

The first half featured 10 lead changes with Haskell sticking close to the NCAA Division II program. Fort Lewis College Junior Gurad  Joshua Blaylock‘s made free throw with 1:19 left in the first half gave the Skyhawks the lead they would not relinquish.

Duelle Gore (Seminole Tribe of Florida) scored a game-high 26 points for the Indians. He pulled down 7 rebounds and had 3 steals as well. Wilber Everett had 10 Points and had a game-high 6 assists. Tsalidi Sequoyah also had 10 points for Haskell.

The Indians finished the game shooting 44.8 percent from the floor (26 of 58) after making 51 percent in the first half (15 of 29). FLC attempted twice as many free throws as Haskell Indian Nations, making 18 of 22 attempts while Haskell was only to shoot 54% from the line to FLC 84%.

Haskell will next take on Colorado School of Mines, in Golden, Colorado still, with a tip-off time set for 8:00 PM.
